Address

Mercado Municipal, 1ª planta

Avenida Blas Pérez González 4, Puerto de la Cruz

Puerto Feliz — Tea & Coffee House, Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife

Welcome

A small shop with a long history

Puerto Feliz has been part of the Mercado Municipal in Puerto de la Cruz for more than twelve years. The previous owners built what was probably the best tea selection on Tenerife here, blending their own compositions. In 2025 the shop passed to a Polish owner.

We kept what was best: the teas, and the quiet of sitting down at a table. And we added our own bakery, a wider coffee selection, and a shelf of Polish and Eastern European products that are hard to find on the island.

We are not a shop you wander into by accident. Most of our customers come back regularly, and that is exactly what we work for.

About us

Why it is worth stopping by

Four things that set us apart from an ordinary grocery shop.

  • 01

    We bake on site

Sourdough bread, Basque cheesecake, Polish doughnuts and makowiec — made in our own kitchen, in small batches, for the same day.

  • 02

    Tea by weight

Dozens of loose-leaf teas and blends, including house compositions developed here over the years. We weigh out exactly as much as you need.

  • 03

    The Polish shelf

Cured meats, dairy, quark, herring, pickles, sweets and pantry staples. Restocked often, refrigerated goods included.

  • 04

Coffee made in front of you

Italian and German brands alongside specialty coffee from a craft roastery. Have a cup here and take the beans home.

Range

What you will find

Six product groups that combine easily in a single visit — from the daily loaf to a gift.

Polish and Eastern European delicatessen

Polish and Eastern European delicatessen

The largest part of the shop, and the reason many customers drive across the island.

We restock regularly, including refrigerated goods that are not practical to ship to the island in bulk. That keeps the range broad and the dairy and cured meats fresh.

Loose-leaf teas

Loose-leaf teas

The heart of this place for over a decade.

Dozens of varieties in glass jars, including blends composed here over the years. We sell by weight, so you can take a small bag to try or a proper supply for the season.

Coffee

Coffee

From Italian classics to a craft roastery.

We run two tracks in parallel. On one side, trusted European brands our customers know and buy regularly. On the other, specialty coffee brought in directly from an artisan roastery on the Spanish mainland.

Our own baking

Our own baking

Baked here, on the day.

We make everything ourselves, from scratch, in small batches matched to the day of the week. That means Friday and Saturday bring the widest choice, and by the end of the day something may already be gone.

Café

Café

A few tables, some quiet, and a cup on the spot.

You are welcome to simply sit down. We will make you a coffee, or brew any tea from our jars — including the one you are thinking of buying by weight, so you can taste before you decide. Something from the bake display goes well alongside.

Honey and accessories

Honey and accessories

Good extras, and ideas for a present.

Tea and coffee sometimes call for things you will not find in a supermarket. Here they sit side by side, along with a few options that make a good gift.

Our own bakery

Baked daily, in small quantities

We prepare everything ourselves, from early morning, with no ready-made mixes. That is why something occasionally runs out — and why it pays to come early.

  • Basque cheesecake

    Basque cheesecake

Our most recognisable bake. Baked hot and fast, creamy in the middle, with that characteristic scorched top.

  • Sourdough bread

    Sourdough bread

Wholegrain, slowly proved in the cold, baked in tins. Sold by weight, halves included.

  • Pączki (Polish doughnuts)

    Pączki (Polish doughnuts)

Fried here several times a week from dough made the day before. They go quickly.

  • Makowiec

    Makowiec

A shortcrust base with poppy-seed filling and grated apple, finished with crumble. Sold by the slice.

The best day to visit

Saturday at the Mercado

On Saturdays the largest flea market in the area takes place next to the Mercado Municipal, drawing residents from Puerto de la Cruz and the surrounding towns. It is the day we are open longest and have the fullest selection of baking. A smaller market runs on Wednesdays.

Visit us

First floor of the Mercado Municipal

We sit slightly off the main tourist routes, and that works in your favour: it is calm, and the building has underground parking with the first two hours free. Escalators and a lift take you up.
